Base Salary
$93k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and microservices.
- Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Own service components and deliver medium-sized features from design through deployment.
- Debug production issues, participate in on-call rotations and incident response, and conduct postmortem activities.
- Analyze performance, capacity, availability, and error budgets to improve system reliability and scalability.
- Build automation, monitoring, alerting, documentation, samples, and adoption guidance.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Mentor interns and junior engineers on day-to-day engineering practices.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, developer tooling, operational excellence, and development processes.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous programming, cloud computing, and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
- Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and PCI DSS.
- Preferred experience with IAM systems, operating production cloud services, public cloud platforms, observability tools, and applied cryptography.
- Ability to independently deliver medium-sized features, troubleshoot production issues, make technical decisions with limited supervision, and communicate technical tradeoffs.

- U.S. hiring range of $92,500 to $209,500 per annum, with possible bonus and equity eligibility.
