Responsibilities
- Build backend services for robot fleet coordination, workflow state management, event logging, and platform APIs.
- Develop workflow authoring tools that allow operators to define, deploy, and refine robot workflows using natural language.
- Build on-robot services for remote control, workflow execution, state reporting, and diagnostics.
- Own workflow execution data infrastructure, including event logs, conformance metrics, and audit trails.
- Maintain reliable and secure cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability, and alerting.
- Implement UI, backend, and on-robot testing and validation pipelines, including simulation-based workflow validation.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Understanding of API design, data modelling, and distributed-systems tradeoffs such as consistency, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerisation, deployment, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Comfort working across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with observability and alerting for operationally critical systems.
- Familiarity with workflow engines, state machines, coordination systems, operator-facing tooling, LLM-based agentic systems, enterprise systems such as WMS or ERP, robotics, or real-time systems is preferred.
