Base Salary
$121k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop enhancements, updates, and programming changes for systems software subsystems involving networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
- Analyze designs and determine coding, programming, and integration activities based on product architecture and objectives.
- Write and execute testing plans, protocols, and documentation; debug code and integration issues and create solutions.
- Lead project teams of software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with management and internal and outsourced development partners on software design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Represent the software systems engineering team during larger and more complex development projects.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of software development experience.
- Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with one or more of Golang, Python, or Java.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, RPC frameworks, and WebSockets.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of fundamental ML concepts, production integration patterns, data preprocessing, and feature engineering from a software implementation perspective.
- Experience developing software that interfaces with ML models and AI services.
