Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, deploy, maintain, document, and deliver large-scale distributed, real-time, and management systems.
- Build software using Java, Scala, object-oriented design patterns, NoSQL databases, and data-modeling techniques.
- Design petabyte-scale big-data processing solutions using AWS services.
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical design specifications.
- Serve as a technical resource throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Produce comprehensive and usable software documentation.
- Recommend improvements to development, maintenance, and system standards.
- Collaborate with Senior and Principal Engineers, Researchers, and Data Engineers to optimize supply-chain management software.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
