Base Salary
$150k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop real-time state estimation algorithms for inertial navigation, sensor fusion, and GPS-denied or degraded environments.
- Integrate IMUs, GNSS receivers, visual odometry, magnetometers, barometers, and radar into robust estimation frameworks.
- Design sensor processing pipelines focused on accuracy, robustness, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with autonomy, software, and hardware teams on navigation and PNT system integration.
- Evaluate algorithm performance through simulation, laboratory testing, and field trials.
- Adapt advances in state estimation and navigation research into deployable solutions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2 years with a master’s degree, 1 year with a PhD, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with algorithms.
- Proficiency in C++11 or newer in real-time environments.
- Comfort working in Linux with standard command-line tools and scripting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced development cycles and deliver high-quality results.
- Preferred: experience with real-time navigation or sensor fusion using IMUs, GPS, or other sensors; filtering and estimation techniques such as Kalman filters, EKF, UKF, and particle filters; inertial navigation in degraded or GPS-denied conditions; visual odometry or computer-vision navigation; performance optimization on compute-constrained platforms; CUDA or FPGA acceleration; and transitioning navigation solutions from research into production.
