Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying solutions that leverage commercial off-the-shelf systems instead of customization.
- Participate in technical design, coding, application development, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support activities.
- Translate specifications into code and modify, troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software under supervision.
- Develop integration applications and support COTS applications using programming languages, web technologies, cognitive services, integration technologies, and native mobile applications.
- Identify and mitigate root causes, provide routine on-call support, prioritize work, and deliver project commitments.
- Collaborate with senior programmers and technical staff while maintaining effective communication with customers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Associate degree or vocational training.
- Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle, programming principles, technical design documents, specifications, and system development practices.
- Exposure to software development projects, unit testing, development methodologies and tools, and Agile delivery approaches including Kanban and Scrum.
- Basic knowledge of ITIL processes and various programming languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine problems, identify root causes, provide on-call support, and work effectively with technical staff.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
