Responsibilities
- Manage software configuration management activities across multiple ESA mission projects.
- Administer Bitbucket and GitLab repositories and configuration management environments hosted on ESA premises.
- Maintain Configuration Item Data Lists and automate their generation and maintenance.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, and related technologies.
- Support SonarQube integration, automated builds, testing, release activities, and test campaigns.
- Coordinate deployments across development, integration, validation, and operational environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure automation, environment provisioning, containerized deployments, and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Develop scripts and tools for operational, configuration management, reporting, and engineering automation.
- Produce release notes, baselines, technical documentation, engineering reports, metrics, and quality indicators.
- Support Product Assurance activities, audits, reviews, compliance verification, and qualification activities.
- Define and improve common configuration management, deployment, and engineering workflows across ESA projects.
Requirements
- Solid experience with configuration management and software release processes.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps methodologies.
- Hands-on experience administering Jenkins and developing pipelines.
- Experience with Linux system administration, Git-based repositories, software build systems, software integration, and automated testing environments.
- Ability to automate engineering processes through scripting and tooling.
- Experience producing technical, release, and engineering documentation and reports.
- Understanding of software quality assurance principles and engineering best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary international teams.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Harness, SonarQube, Atlassian tools, Kubernetes, Bash, Python, Gradle, Ansible, ECSS standards, Product Assurance, audits, technical reviews, qualification activities, and scientific, operational, or space mission projects.
