Responsibilities
- Audit new and existing internal and external web solutions for accessibility.
- Partner with multiple teams throughout the full project lifecycle on new features and solutions.
- Define accessibility requirements for reusable design-system components.
- Provide accessible code solutions and review designs and copy for accessibility.
- Test solutions with assistive technologies, including VoiceOver, JAWS, and NVDA.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners and act as a technical accessibility expert.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.x guidelines and WAI-ARIA.
- Knowledge and practical experience implementing technical accessibility requirements.
- In-depth practical experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Ability to provide accessible code solutions using web technologies.
- Experience in software engineering and accessibility-focused work.
- Excellent knowledge of macOS and iOS VoiceOver and other accessibility features.
- Strong first-hand experience testing with screen readers such as VoiceOver, JAWS, and NVDA.
- Experience reviewing designs and copy for accessibility.
- Familiarity with accessibility features on mobile devices.
- Experience using AI to enhance accessibility implementations, validations, and features.
