Responsibilities
- Perform technical onboarding and deployment experiences for new customers.
- Collaborate with customers to execute technical onboarding implementation plans and achieve their First Desired Outcome.
- Lead Kentik platform deployment and configuration, including Private Agent installation, test creation, and initial setup.
- Coordinate with Sales Engineers and Account Managers to transition customers from pre-sales to post-sales delivery.
- Identify and escalate technical challenges or product gaps that may affect onboarding success.
- Validate AI-generated outputs against network data, logs, configurations, and security requirements.
- Complete Kentik platform training and certification, apply onboarding methodologies, and contribute to the Professional Services knowledge base.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in a customer-facing technical software implementation or onboarding role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical topics clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrable experience with TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, HTTP, and DNS.
- Experience with network monitoring suites and technologies including NetFlow, J-Flow, sFlow, IPFIX, and SNMP.
- Experience administering Linux/UNIX systems and using network vendor CLIs such as Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, Ruby, PHP, or Perl.
- Experience with APIs, RESTful code, network and routing security, packet captures, cloud hyperscalers, CDN architectures, synthetic/network performance testing, and relational databases.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, customer confidentiality, human validation, and secure AI-tool usage.
- A bachelor's degree, BA or BS, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, IP address management, AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, OCI, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is relevant or advantageous.
