Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and support low-complexity enhancements for commercial trading, risk management, credit, and retail pricing applications.
- Contribute technical analysis, design input, implementation support, integrations, and development tasks for assigned projects and workstreams.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, designs, and system changes within the assigned scope.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, scrum masters, analysts, infrastructure, security, and technology teams.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, participate in deployments, and provide occasional after-hours support with guidance.
- Contribute to cloud adoption, automation, DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability improvements.
- Follow development standards, reusable patterns, documentation, automated testing, peer reviews, and secure coding practices.
- Support vendor-delivered solutions through implementation assistance and long-term production support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related scientific or technical discipline, or demonstrated technical proficiency substituted for education requirements.
- At least 1 year of experience developing, supporting, or integrating enterprise applications.
- At least 1 year of experience supporting commodity or energy trading, retail pricing, or related commercial applications.
- At least 1 year of experience contributing to technical projects, delivery priorities, or production support activities.
- Foundational proficiency in one or more of .NET/C#, Java, AngularJS/Angular, SQL, APIs, or integration frameworks.
- Foundational proficiency with relational databases; Microsoft SQL Server is preferred.
- Preferred proficiency with AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, DB Maestro, ActiveBatch, or similar cloud, source control, release management, and automation tools.
- Preferred understanding of commodities trading, front-, middle-, and back-office processes and CTRM/ETRM systems such as RightAngle, Endur, or Allegro.
- Basic understanding of incident, change, release, and production support practices, along with business-process analysis and requirements translation.
- Ability to balance project delivery, production support, technical debt, and operational priorities; perform root-cause analysis; and complete assigned work with guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, English fluency, prioritization, multitasking, deadline management, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing abilities.
