Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable, high-quality production software.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and software development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve delivery and engineering productivity.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to produce visualizations and reporting that improve software applications and systems.
- Identify patterns and hidden problems in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Guide peers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and the software development lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies and cloud technologies.
