Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architecture of the correctness layer across Coinbase’s fund flows.
- Own the core platform, including the invariant definition framework and real-time detection engine.
- Lead the AI guardrails workstream for predictive consistency models.
- Set technical direction for the team and make high-stakes architecture decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with various teams to define correctness requirements.
- Mentor engineers and translate platform vision into an executable roadmap.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building fault-tolerant, high-reliability distributed systems at scale.
- Platform-builder mindset focused on infrastructure for multiple teams.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical work with significant impact.
- Strong judgment on prioritizing correctness problems.
- Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools in workflows.
