Responsibilities
- Build AI systems end to end from prototype through production.
- Design data architecture for ingestion, processing, storage, data models, and ontologies.
- Build distributed pipelines for large-scale documents, code, logs, and multimodal content supporting retrieval, agentic workflows, and fine-tuning.
- Turn customer-specific solutions into reusable patterns and platforms.
- Design for throughput, latency, cost, and failure recovery under real load.
- Implement data governance covering ownership, access control, lineage, retention, and privacy.
- Build evaluation loops with LLM and human labeling, versioned datasets, and quality-drift checks.
- Set standards for designing and shipping data systems and collaborate with research, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
Requirements
- Proficiency across the stack with NodeJS technologies such as NextJS, Express, or Fastify, or Python with FastAPI.
- Confidence with TypeScript and React/NextJS or similar technologies.
- 5+ years of experience building and running production data-intensive pipelines with distributed processing and orchestration tools for structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, agentic use cases, or LLM evaluation.
- Ability to work autonomously, own outcomes, communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, and work fluently in English.
- Comfort shipping incrementally and making product-technical tradeoffs.
- Preferred: experience with graph-based systems such as Neo4j and ontology design.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with data pipelines for LLM training, fine-tuning, or evaluation and contributions to data or LLM open-source projects.
- Preferred: experience with data governance, privacy requirements such as GDPR, secure data handling, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, or security engineering.
