Base Salary
$200k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own progressive delivery end-to-end, including canary releases, blue/green deployments, automated rollback, and soak periods.
- Lead the GitOps strategy across multiple Kubernetes clusters and regions.
- Build and operate on-demand environment tooling, including preview environments and cell-creation tooling.
- Design and improve deployment pipelines for many services and Dockerfiles.
- Establish developer-platform SLAs, documentation, feedback loops, and a platform roadmap.
- Partner with Infrastructure and SRE teams on cell creation, multi-region rollouts, and on-call tooling.
- Improve deployment lead time and MTTR for failed deployments.
Requirements
- Operate Pulumi with TypeScript or Terraform at scale across 40+ stacks and multiple regions.
- Run ArgoCD or an equivalent GitOps system across multiple clusters.
- Build progressive delivery systems in production, including canary, blue/green, automated rollback, and soak periods.
- Design CI/CD pipelines for many services and Dockerfiles, preferably using GitHub Actions.
- Build deployment tooling for on-demand environments such as preview environments, development deployments, or cell creation.
- Have a platform-as-a-product mindset focused on internal engineers as customers, with SLAs, documentation, and feedback loops.
- Preferred: experience writing Go for platform services.
- Preferred: experience operating developer platforms at a mid-stage infrastructure-heavy company or a developer-experience team at a larger company.
