Responsibilities
- Own technical delivery and serve as the primary engineering contact for assigned OEM Digital Cockpit and ADAS programs.
- Lead customer-specific Flex Platform integration across reference and customer hardware, including BSP, drivers, middleware, operating systems, and ADAS stacks.
- Perform system characterization, workload and stress testing, performance analysis, latency profiling, and optimization for mixed-criticality systems.
- Coordinate Qualcomm hardware, software, systems, safety, security, tools, and test teams to meet customer milestones.
- Drive issue triage, root-cause analysis, regression resolution, design reviews, technical workshops, and joint debugging sessions.
- Lead customer technical interactions, roadmap development, system architecture discussions, and escalation of critical technical issues.
- Mentor cross-functional engineering teams and provide technical thought leadership across OEM programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 6+ years of related experience; or a master's degree plus 5+ years; or a PhD plus 4+ years.
- 18+ years of experience in senior engineering roles in the Digital Cockpit, ADAS, or autonomous-driving domain.
- At least 3 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience working directly with major global OEMs on large-scale mixed-criticality Digital Cockpit or ADAS programs.
- Strong automotive systems engineering experience covering BSP integration, hardware bring-up, performance analysis, SoC architecture, embedded software stacks, ADAS sensor integration, and CAN integration.
- Understanding of QNX, Linux, Android, AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive, hypervisors, virtual machines, GPU/DSP accelerators, safety, security, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and cybersecurity standards.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority in complex matrix organizations.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills for engineering and executive audiences, along with structured problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customers and Qualcomm sites domestically and internationally.
- Preferred experience includes ADAS or autonomous-driving functions, perception, sensor fusion, planning and control, HW/SW co-design, system performance analysis, and integration stabilization.
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field is preferred, as is experience at Qualcomm, a major semiconductor vendor, or a Tier-1 automotive supplier.
