Base Salary
$85k - $95k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight across multiple application development areas and systems.
- Review proposed technical solutions and contribute to application development strategies.
- Build highly scalable and performant software platforms for data computation and processing.
- Develop Java and Apache Spark applications and apply architecture, object-oriented programming, and design pattern expertise.
- Design Oracle database schemas, optimize queries, and work with caching solutions.
- Monitor delivery outcomes, define standards, and ensure essential procedures are followed.
- Manage stakeholders and people while influencing senior leaders and negotiating with external parties when needed.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Senior-level application development experience with stakeholder and people management experience.
- Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Apache Spark with Java, Python, and object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with Big Data, grid computing, data warehousing, cloud computing, and high-scale data processing platforms.
- Experience with caching solutions such as Pinot and Redis.
- Strong Oracle Database knowledge, including schema design and query optimization.
- Understanding of architecture across multiple related areas, industry practices, and technology integration.
- Strong leadership, communication, persuasion, diplomacy, and data-driven influencing skills.
- Finance domain knowledge is a plus.
