Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of scalable AI platforms and production ML systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI/ML engineers and lead technical reviews.
- Define AI/ML technology strategy and product roadmaps with product, clinical, quality, regulatory, and software engineering teams.
- Design, develop, deploy, evaluate, and optimize deep learning models for biomedical signals, time-series data, and medical image analysis.
- Build scalable AI/ML pipelines from research through production with reproducibility, reliability, and maintainability.
- Integrate AI/ML models into existing software frameworks and medical device systems.
- Collect, preprocess, and analyze biomedical datasets while maintaining data integrity and privacy compliance.
- Support deployed models and algorithms through monitoring, performance optimization, testing, and validation.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals, for regulated medical devices.
- Track advances in AI/ML technologies and relevant medical device regulations.
Requirements
- Ph.D. with 7+ years of relevant industry experience or a master’s degree with 15+ years of relevant industry experience in computer science, software engineering, machine learning, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience developing deep learning models using CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs, transformers, and other modern techniques for biomedical signal, time-series, and medical image analysis.
- Experience with MLOps, including experiment tracking, model versioning, automated training pipelines, and production model monitoring.
- Experience deploying AI/ML models with cloud platforms and containerized technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, ONNX, or TensorRT.
- Knowledge of explainable AI, model interpretability, AI risk management, and validation for regulated healthcare and medical device applications.
- Experience with digital signal processing, signal conditioning, feature extraction, time-series analysis, and statistical signal processing.
- Preferred experience with wavelet analysis and frequency-domain techniques.
- Experience or familiarity with foundation models, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, or multimodal AI applications is a plus.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Linux, and Python.
- Experience with object-oriented design, code reviews, unit and integration testing, version control using Git, and Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO standards including ISO 13485, and medical device compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
