Base Salary
$169k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, production-grade AI/ML, generative AI, and agentic systems across the enterprise.
- Design autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration, LLM selection and routing, RAG pipelines, memory systems, and tool/function-calling patterns.
- Consult with division and domain architects and establish an enterprise AI solutions architecture practice.
- Define and lead technology proofs of concept, conduct hands-on prototyping, and validate architecture feasibility.
- Align AI platform capabilities and technology roadmaps with business goals across multiple domains.
- Establish AI governance, risk, control, ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible deployment practices.
- Track AI platform, foundation model, agentic framework, and autonomous-system developments and communicate their enterprise implications.
- Partner with senior Technology and Business leaders to set architecture priorities, gain organizational buy-in, and communicate architectural direction.
- Provide thought leadership on modernization, reduce technical debt, and capitalize on technology and industry trends.
- Mentor architecture and engineering colleagues and foster knowledge sharing and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related STEM or technology field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
- At least 7 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience and 2 years of technical leadership experience; the broader profile describes 8 to 10 years of architecture experience.
- Advanced architecture capability with recent hands-on engineering experience and a record of executing complex, large-scale technology strategies.
- Hands-on expertise in AI/ML development and deployment, including machine learning algorithms, neural networks, optimization, linear algebra, statistics, and probability.
- Experience designing production-grade distributed and parallel AI systems, autonomous systems, planning and reasoning capabilities, reinforcement learning, and decision-making frameworks.
- Experience with MLOps, AI Ops, AI/ML CI/CD pipelines, multimodal AI, generative AI foundations, transformer architectures, LLMs, diffusion models, VAEs, GANs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RLHF.
- Experience with agentic patterns, API integration, tool use, function calling, memory systems, RAG, vector databases, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Hands-on or working experience with LangChain, Strands, Crew AI, MCP, Agent2Agent, and cloud AI services including AWS Bedrock and AgentCore.
- Experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Enterprise/CLI/Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, responsible AI, AI governance, model risk management, EU AI Act, GDPR, NAIC, and NIST AI RMF.
- Advanced leadership, strategic business acumen, communication, judgment, collaboration, mentoring, and organizational influence skills.
- Experience developing technology target states and roadmaps, supporting transformational change, and working in an agile operational model.
- Insurance technology and strong insurance-industry knowledge are preferred.
