Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices for enterprise applications.
- Develop modular, reusable service components that support reliable continuous delivery and application stability.
- Build secure REST integrations between microservices and external systems.
- Optimize application performance, storage configurations, and network interactions on AWS.
- Configure and refine automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Apply secure coding standards and integrate security controls into services and AWS resources.
- Create automated unit, integration, and contract tests.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to translate requirements into service designs.
- Troubleshoot production issues in microservices and AWS environments using logs, metrics, and traces.
- Document service designs, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions while mentoring peers.
- Contribute to asset and wealth management domain solutions.
- Work effectively with distributed stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.
Requirements
- Seven to ten years of hands-on professional software engineering experience building and maintaining production-grade microservices.
- Advanced proficiency with Java and Spring Boot, including reactive patterns, configuration management, and stateless cloud-ready services.
- Practical experience with AWS compute, storage, networking, logging, and monitoring resources.
- Deep understanding of microservices design, domain-driven design, fault tolerance, observability, and graceful degradation.
- Strong experience with relational or NoSQL databases, message brokers, and caching solutions.
- Familiarity with asset and wealth management or similar financial domains.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
