Responsibilities
- Drive and support software and infrastructure engineers working on proprietary payment-performance algorithms.
- Design, develop, and deliver features for high-throughput, highly available payment products.
- Maintain uptime, latency, API-response quality, code quality, infrastructure quality, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with data scientists to improve the platform and payment-routing algorithms.
- Handle incident response, post-incident investigations, and on-call rotations.
- Plan the long-term direction and quality of infrastructure without overengineering.
- Support hiring, engineer development, team cohesion, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with Golang and strong knowledge of commonly used Golang patterns.
- Experience designing and managing large, scalable, high-throughput, and highly available systems.
- Experience with AWS and its basic best-practice architectures.
- Strong understanding of software design and architecture.
- Strong experience with microservice-based infrastructures.
- Solid understanding of HTTP and gRPC.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
