Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into scalable cloud-native technical solutions with Product Management.
- Own end-to-end application design and reviews, including architecture, resilience, scalability, and production readiness.
- Design, develop, and deliver high-performance microservices and APIs using cloud-native patterns and managed GCP services.
- Modernize application technology stacks and implement architecture enhancements across development, staging, and production environments.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation for application builds, testing, deployments, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Improve application efficiency, scalability, reliability, observability, and cloud cost performance.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues in distributed systems and collaborate with platform and SRE teams on monitoring and alerting.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, conduct design and code reviews, reduce technical debt, and document architecture and operational procedures.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience building and operating enterprise-grade software systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java-based application development and cloud-native microservices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, frontend technologies such as ReactJS or Angular, and full-stack application exposure.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, Cloud Run or App Engine, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Firestore, and Cloud Monitoring and Logging.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automation, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, event-driven and data-intensive systems, distributed-system monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Experience leading design reviews, code reviews, quality standards, and production delivery of cloud-native applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
