Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, harden, and evolve classified Linux infrastructure across globally distributed air-gapped sites.
- Apply STIG compliance and system-hardening standards while owning the deployed security posture.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
- Develop production automation, operational tooling, and workflow improvements using Bash and Python.
- Manage Kubernetes workloads in production classified environments.
- Architect observability using logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing tools across distributed systems.
- Provide incident response, root-cause analysis, and resolution for application and infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Mission Operations, and Technical Program Managers on deployment readiness.
- Provide documentation, training, customer-site support, and 24x7 on-call coverage.
- Drive automation, system optimization, and operational process improvements with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance is required; TS/SCI is preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on production Kubernetes experience, including deploying, scaling, debugging, and managing containerized workloads.
- Expert Linux proficiency, including networking, filesystems, systemd, SELinux, and kernel tuning.
- Experience applying STIGs, remediating findings, and hardening systems.
- Experience building and operating infrastructure in air-gapped or classified environments.
- Proficiency with Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Strong Bash and Python scripting skills for production automation and operational tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for observability.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, communication, documentation, initiative, and self-direction.
- Understanding of Git, code review, testing, and software development practices.
- Preferred qualifications include military experience, COMSEC and HAIPE-compliant Type-1 network encryptor experience, CCNA or equivalent certification, Space Domain Awareness knowledge, Lattice OS familiarity, and proficiency in Go, Rust, or Java.
