Base Salary
$160k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build responsive, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Develop and maintain a shared component library or design system.
- Integrate REST, SSE, and GraphQL services to fetch and render data and support frontend-backend communication.
- Use AI-assisted tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, linting, code review, and component generation.
- Collaborate with Product and Design to turn workflows and wireframes into intuitive production features.
- Optimize performance, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, responsive layouts, load times, and interactions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; participate in code reviews; and help define front-end architecture and best practices.
Requirements
- Several years of professional front-end engineering experience or equivalent experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS or CSS-in-JS, responsive design, DOM fundamentals, browser behavior, layout, and performance.
- Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and collaborating with backend teams.
- Experience with real-time, streaming AI-first components.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and experience translating wireframes or mockups into production features.
- Familiarity with version control, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
- Comfort adopting AI tools for UI development, refactoring, testing, or component generation.
- Preferred experience building conversational or chat-based applications with complex multi-turn conversation state and dynamic message flows.
- Preferred experience with design systems or component libraries.
- Preferred TypeScript experience or willingness to adopt it.
- Preferred familiarity with performance optimization, accessibility, cross-browser support, and responsive design at scale.
- Preferred experience in a fast-moving startup or AI-driven product environment.
