Base Salary
$147k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own product quality, release confidence, and testing outcomes for an assigned consumer applications domain.
- Define and execute end-to-end test strategies, including risk assessment, coverage planning, release criteria, and quality signals.
- Design and maintain scalable test infrastructure, automation frameworks, runners, lab or bench tooling, execution services, libraries, and internal tools.
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting unit, SIL, HIL, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Lead technical decisions involving test architecture, test selection, parallelization, flakiness reduction, reporting, monitoring, and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance and reviews, and improve team-wide testing practices.
- Analyze test results and pipeline behavior to identify bottlenecks, coverage gaps, flaky tests, and automation opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software test engineering experience, including automation, test infrastructure, and CI/CD systems.
- Experience developing and executing test strategies across unit, integration, SIL, HIL, and end-to-end layers.
- Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers.
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Java, Shell, or Rust for backend services and automation.
- Expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Buildkite, and modern build systems.
- Experience designing automation frameworks for cloud, mobile, or embedded environments.
- Strong knowledge of testing best practices, including the test pyramid, mocking, and test data management.
- Experience with HIL, SIL, or lab bench setups is preferred.
- Proficiency in Linux, Git, and standard developer workflows.
- Strong cross-functional communication, collaboration, ownership, and continuous-improvement skills.
