Responsibilities
- Design and build reusable platform components and shared infrastructure services for internal development teams.
- Architect and manage highly available Kubernetes platforms as a service in single-tenant and multi-tenant environments.
- Develop infrastructure provisioning, management, and automation tools primarily in Go and Python.
- Build cloud abstractions, event-driven and messaging platforms, CI/CD services, distributed systems, service-mesh capabilities, and relational database platforms.
- Manage multi-region infrastructure and establish observability, monitoring, and self-service operational tooling.
- Design well-documented APIs and collaborate with product teams to provide infrastructure guidance and support.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical shared infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Principal SRE focused on building tools and services for other engineers.
- Deep production Kubernetes expertise, including platform-as-a-service deployment architectures.
- Strong Go and Python programming skills for backend services and automation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; multi-cloud experience is preferred.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, message queuing, CI/CD, distributed systems, multi-region platforms, observability, RESTful APIs, service meshes, and relational databases.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach toward internal development teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical or military experience.
