Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, scalable services supporting flight search and Air Content.
- Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of flight booking and management systems.
- Work with data scientists to bring data-driven and ML-based solutions into production.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across flight booking and management processes.
- Integrate with provider systems and technologies including GDSs, LCCs, and NDC.
- Ensure code quality and adherence to engineering standards and guidelines.
- Own technical design and mentor other developers.
- Collaborate with teammates and partner teams across the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Java Developer with strong Java proficiency.
- Familiarity with RESTful web services and API development.
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Comfort with data-driven work including A/B testing and metrics.
- Experience owning technical design and mentoring developers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and stakeholders.
- Passion for the travel industry and interest in industry trends.
- Exposure to ML and experience with GDS, LCC, and NDC integration technologies are pluses.
