Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the metadata platform across ingestion, enrichment, APIs, and near-real-time distribution.
- Own solutions end to end from understanding problems and shaping approaches through implementation, testing, deployment, and production improvement.
- Contribute to technical decisions balancing delivery, reliability, security, cost, and maintainability.
- Work across backend services and AWS infrastructure, including deployment pipelines, runtimes, and observability.
- Build reliable and useful agentic AI capabilities for platform and operational workflows.
- Use AI-assisted development critically, validate results, and take ownership of shipped software.
- Participate in troubleshooting and optionally take part in on-call support.
Requirements
- Solid experience building and maintaining production backend systems, ideally using Kotlin or Java.
- Good understanding of APIs, databases, distributed systems, testing, and secure development.
- Experience taking solutions from idea through production and working with infrastructure, observability, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on, critical use of AI-assisted development and interest in connecting AI capabilities with production systems.
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate clearly, collaborate on trade-offs, solve problems, and share knowledge.
- Experience with AWS, event-driven architectures, and infrastructure as code is a plus.
- Experience integrating LLMs, building agents, or operating AI-enabled systems is a plus, but AI specialization is not required.
