Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust full stack software solutions across the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to define requirements, technical specifications, and features.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold code quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Improve development processes, tools, and methodologies and document technical designs, architecture decisions, and operational procedures.
- Learn and apply new technologies and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional full stack web development experience.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, primarily PHP, and relational databases, primarily MySQL.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue, with Vue used by the team.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and/or MVC frameworks.
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing methodologies, distributed system architecture, and asynchronous processing using queues such as AWS SQS.
- Experience with automated production logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Cursor and incorporating AI into coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Agile Development.
