Base Salary
$165k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build standardized application patterns and golden-path deployment capabilities for Amazon EKS.
- Promote secure and consistent AI adoption while supporting AI operational needs.
- Establish AI guardrails, observability, and governance for AI-assisted application development.
- Engineer resilient traffic paths using timeouts, retries, circuit breaking, failure isolation, chaos testing, and automated remediation.
- Incorporate end-to-end application observability, monitoring, and alerting.
- Create approachable documentation and diagnostics to reduce support loops.
- Optimize latency, cross-availability-zone transfer, IP consumption, load balancer efficiency, and infrastructure cost.
- Manage code lifecycle and platform adoption through versioning, migrations, deprecations, usage telemetry, and resource pruning.
- Lead the long-term developer experience roadmap and mentor engineers across teams.
- Build automated policies and processes supporting deployment quality, code hygiene, and testing practices.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent and 8+ years of experience building developer tooling and deployment patterns.
- Experience evaluating new AI platform technologies, AI models, and developer experience products through proofs of concept.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, TypeScript, Python, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of designing, developing, and deploying applications to Amazon EKS.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD build pipelines using GitHub or GitLab.
- Experience with observability, SLOs, metrics, tracing, structured logs, L4/L7 telemetry, request-path visibility, and SLI/SLO definition and enforcement.
- Experience with Terraform or CDK, GitOps workflows, progressive or canary rollouts, and policy-as-code integration.
- Experience with AI-assisted development processes and their benefits and challenges.
- Must be a U.S. person under ITAR rules or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.
