Responsibilities
- Lead and govern complex, multi-phase MuleSoft integration projects using API-led connectivity and integration patterns.
- Define reusable enterprise integration best practices, reference architectures, foundational assets, and API patterns.
- Establish DevOps models, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting, operational standards, and full API lifecycle management.
- Lead requirements workshops and produce architectural blueprint documents for strategic projects.
- Advise client executives and internal sales and delivery teams throughout pre-sales and project delivery.
- Mentor junior architects, engineers, and consultants on technical design, implementation, and customer-facing practices.
- Drive decisions on complex integration challenges while balancing scope, time-to-market, and technical debt.
- Relay field feedback to MuleSoft Product Management and Engineering and influence the platform roadmap.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience and 5+ years leading complex integration and solution architecture initiatives.
- At least 2 years of hands-on MuleSoft experience or comparable experience designing and implementing API-led connectivity and integration patterns.
- Expertise in high availability, scalability, SDLC, API lifecycle management, and enterprise technical solutions.
- Experience architecting and supporting multiple technical integration projects through the SDLC, sometimes simultaneously.
- Experience with MuleSoft and integration solutions such as IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, and Progress Sonic.
- Understanding of API security principles, including authentication, authorization, and security policies.
- Strong customer-facing communication and expectation-management skills, including communication with C-level executives.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Secret clearance, cloud and DevOps expertise, networking and infrastructure knowledge, security compliance experience, and proficiency in at least two listed programming languages.
- Preferred certifications include CKA, CISSP, CISM, or Security+.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, either U.S.-born or naturalized, must not hold dual citizenship, and must agree to complete a federal MBI for a Moderate Public Trust position.
