Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Alpaca's algo trading platform.
- Design and architect systems for high performance and quality.
- Write extensive code and make critical engineering decisions.
- Ensure robust concurrency and high availability in system design.
- Collaborate with a small team to meet user expectations.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with lead experience preferred.
- Proficiency in low and high level programming languages such as C/C++, Go, Zig, Rust, Java, Scala, and Python.
- Experience in low latency and high throughput optimization.
- Familiarity with messaging queues and message brokers.
- Analytical data-oriented mindset and skills.
- Knowledge of algorithms, distributed systems, and concurrency control.
- System design skills with object-oriented data modeling.
