Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and maintain full stack software solutions of moderate to high complexity.
- Demonstrate engineering discipline in estimating work, reporting on progress, and delivering on time.
- Build features end-to-end with a strong sense of ownership over quality and user experience.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new and existing systems.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to deliver software solutions.
- Balance feature delivery with proactive investment in tech debt and platform health.
- Participate in backlog refinement and sprint planning.
- Write thorough unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Expand automated QA coverage as a core team metric.
- Resolve defects swiftly during various phases of the software lifecycle.
- Uphold and contribute to the team's Definition of Done.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing large scale web apps and services.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Strong experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Strong understanding of software design and architecture.
- Experience with Agile Development and SCRUM.
- Experience with relational database technology.
- Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Webflux.
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite or similar.
- Experience developing applications in AWS.
- Experience with modern JavaScript web application frameworks is a plus.
- Solid communication skills to explain complex technical issues.
- Interest or experience in using AI to improve software productivity.
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
