Base Salary
$240k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, standards, and roadmap for AWS Containers.
- Lead technical strategy and integration across AWS ECS, AWS EKS, AWS Fargate, AWS Batch, and AWS ECR.
- Perform hands-on design reviews, coding, prototyping, and operational-readiness work for orchestration, scheduling, isolation, and registry systems.
- Move AI-driven container capabilities from prototype into production and operational ownership.
- Lead technical decisions across multiple concurrent projects and raise engineering quality through design reviews, mentorship, and technical judgment.
- Engage with customers operating critical container workloads and translate insights into architecture.
- Contribute to and represent the organization in container open-source communities, including containerd and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of design and development engineering experience.
- Experience collaborating across multiple organizations and influencing key outcomes.
- Experience serving as a technical leader for multiple concurrent projects and driving strategic technical decisions.
- A demonstrated record of technical decisions that succeed at scale, under pressure, and over time.
- Ability to influence without authority and earn trust through technical credibility.
