Base Salary
$115k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and technical lead for reliable, performant, secure, and highly available application platforms.
- Design, document, create, and maintain cloud-focused platform architectures and reusable developer workflows.
- Build and operate automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments, and observability solutions.
- Partner with application development, business, and technology teams to deliver scalable platform solutions and improve developer experience.
- Mentor team members, influence engineering standards and technical strategy, and provide technical guidance.
- Provide tier 2 and tier 3 escalation support for platform-related issues and questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 8 years of hands-on platform engineering experience, with proven people and thought leadership.
- At least 8 years of experience with cloud-native solution architectures and platform support, including cybersecurity, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code, with Terraform preferred.
- Experience using GitHub and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience implementing and operating container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Expertise in cloud-native automation strategies, including pipelines, infrastructure as code, and test suites.
- Experience integrating vulnerability-management tools, including SAST and SCA scanning, into software development toolchains.
- Experience using generative AI tooling for software development and testing productivity.
- Expertise scripting with Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Ability to provide architectural guidance, make technical decisions, collaborate across teams, and mentor less experienced engineers.

- Base salary range of $115,000 to $225,000 per year, with potential discretionary incentive compensation and bonuses.
