Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain B2 and S3-compatible APIs with attention to correctness, performance, and backward compatibility.
- Build features and improve the scalability of distributed storage, billing, lifecycle, and usage systems.
- Lead technical design discussions and produce clear design documentation.
- Instrument services, develop metrics, define meaningful SLIs/SLOs, and drive reliability improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, determine incident root causes, and identify remediation work.
Requirements
- 7+ years of server-side Java programming experience.
- Strong background in algorithms and data structures.
- Professional experience designing, implementing, testing, and rolling out software for large-scale distributed systems.
- Proactive communication and effective collaboration in a remote environment.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Gemini, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Cassandra and Vitess experience are preferred.
- Agile and Scrum experience are preferred.
