Base Salary
$195k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead Android migration and development efforts across Cash Line and Unsecured Installment product surfaces.
- Help deliver Upstart’s approved Android launch plan by translating business goals into technical milestones.
- Set technical direction for mobile architecture, focusing on native Android and React Native.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to create durable mobile solutions.
- Raise engineering excellence through leadership, design reviews, and mentorship.
- Support both teams post-launch with deep Android expertise and React Native fluency.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with substantial native Android application development in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Proven track record of leading large, cross-team mobile initiatives or product launches.
- Experience shipping consumer-facing mobile products with a focus on performance and user experience.
- Deep knowledge of native Android development and experience with React Native and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including architecture ownership and mentorship.
