Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate secure, scalable, highly available cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Lead application modernization and the migration of legacy and .NET applications to containerized, cloud-native architectures.
  • Own Kubernetes and AKS architecture, deployment, security, scalability, resiliency, and day-to-day operations, including GPU-based AI and machine learning workloads.
  • Build reusable Infrastructure as Code modules and deployment patterns with Terraform and Bicep.
  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and automated deployment strategies using GitHub Workflows, GitHub Actions, and Argo CD.
  • Design and troubleshoot cloud networking, and establish monitoring, observability, alerting, health indicators, and incident response practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis and reliability improvements to prevent recurring incidents.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization, governance, resource standards, and engineering ownership of cloud spend across Azure and AWS.
  • Create reference architectures, technical standards, reusable platform patterns, and best practices.
  • Mentor engineers and advise software engineering, architecture, security, and product teams on cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Deep experience with cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, serverless services, storage, virtual machines, managed application platforms, messaging, APIs, and relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AKS, including application modernization and GPU workload deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Workflows, GitHub Actions, and Argo CD.
  • Experience deploying and supporting .NET applications.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Shell scripting, and Python.
  • Experience with Datadog, Azure Application Insights, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver cloud cost savings.
  • Working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry.
  • Experience building shared platform engineering capabilities used by multiple product teams.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-scale GitOps and cloud governance practices.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, generative AI solutions, or GPU-enabled infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Relevant Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform certifications are preferred.
  • Experience in a complex enterprise or regulated software environment is preferred.
