Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise technical vision, roadmap, architecture, governance, and operating model for GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, Nexus Repository, and related CI/CD platforms.
- Lead enterprise-scale migration and modernization initiatives, including legacy CI/CD migration, repository consolidation, pipeline standardization, and artifact management transformation.
- Design and implement reusable CI/CD workflows, templates, automation frameworks, repository governance, release management standards, and self-service developer onboarding.
- Establish software supply chain security, secrets management, identity and access management, OIDC, dependency management, SBOM generation, artifact provenance, auditability, and DevSecOps practices.
- Design resilient architectures and operational standards for GitHub runners, Azure DevOps agents, repositories, package management, and supporting infrastructure.
- Define observability, monitoring, alerting, reliability, support, and operational KPI practices, and lead incident resolution and continuous improvement.
- Mentor engineers, architects, and platform teams while leading design reviews, architecture governance, engineering standards, and modernization strategy discussions.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, cloud engineering, or software delivery platforms.
- Proven experience architecting and operating enterprise-scale GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps environments.
- Deep expertise in CI/CD architecture, pipeline engineering, software delivery modernization, source control, repository governance, and release management.
- Experience leading large-scale platform transformation and migration initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, reusable workflows, templates, and automation frameworks.
- Strong scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Experience operating artifact management platforms such as Nexus Repository or equivalent solutions.
- Strong understanding of software supply chain security, secrets management, dependency management, and DevSecOps principles.
- Experience designing highly available, resilient, and scalable platform architectures.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and executive influence skills.
- Preferred experience includes regulated enterprise environments, GitHub Enterprise Cloud, Azure cloud services and security capabilities, container platforms, Kubernetes, GitOps, observability platforms, and multiple application stacks including .NET, Java, Python, Node.js, containers, and mainframe-integrated pipelines.
- Industry certifications related to GitHub, Azure, DevOps, cloud architecture, security, or platform engineering are preferred.
