Responsibilities
- Process massive sparse datasets and extract features using SQL, Python, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Architect offline and online feature pipelines and maintain low-latency feature stores without online/offline skew.
- Train, tune, and scale gradient-boosting, factorization, and deep learning models for structured and recommendation data.
- Write modular production code and transition models from research environments to high-performance serving environments.
- Build MLOps pipelines for retraining, model versioning, shadow deployments, and machine-learning CI/CD.
- Monitor models for data drift, concept drift, and performance degradation while implementing alerting and fallback mechanisms.
- Design A/B and multivariate experiments and connect offline model metrics with online business KPIs.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Software Engineer focused on ML systems.
- Expert-level Python and strong proficiency in a compiled or high-performance language such as C++, Java, Scala, Go, or Rust.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithm design.
- Experience deploying ML models in highly concurrent, low-latency production environments using APIs, microservices, Triton Inference Server, or custom containers.
- Hands-on experience with big-data processing using Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, and complex SQL queries.
- Production experience shipping both tree-based models and neural networks using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, hypothesis testing, and rigorous A/B experiment design.
- Preferred: experience designing agentic workflows or using LLMs for ad creative generation, campaign copilots, or internal ML development workflows.
