Base Salary
$68k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver scalable, multi-tier applications across architecture, development, test automation, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Translate business and automation needs into technical solutions while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and agile teams.
- Design and build REST APIs, microservices, frontend applications, event-driven systems, workflows, caching, and distributed systems.
- Improve platform resiliency, availability, integrity, observability, and incident response through runbooks, on-call practices, logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Champion coding standards, code reviews, static analysis, test coverage, release discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Integrate AI technologies such as LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks into client and employee experiences.
- Contribute to technical strategy and roadmaps, make build-versus-buy decisions, and mentor teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of professional full-stack development experience with strength across backend and frontend engineering.
- Expert-level Java and at least 5 years of Spring or Spring Boot experience, including microservices and REST API design.
- Experience with Angular or React and JavaScript, modern UI patterns, state management, and reusable components.
- Hands-on messaging or eventing experience; Kafka is preferred.
- Experience with unit and integration testing using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Gherkin, and Cucumber, plus static analysis and code-quality tools such as SonarQube.
- Exposure to Veracode or Section and experience with Test Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development.
- Strong Git and GitLab workflow experience, Docker, infrastructure-as-code fundamentals, and blue-green or feature-flag release strategies.
- Experience with SLF4J, Log4j, log aggregation, metrics, tracing, and tools such as Splunk.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL stores and data modeling for microservices.
- Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Slack, pair programming, and collaborative team practices.
- Experience using coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf.
