Responsibilities
- Build agentic workflows, modular LLM skills, prompts, and backend tool integrations for conversational YouTube Shopping responses.
- Improve retrieval, ranking, and personalization of shopping results across Ask YouTube and traditional YouTube Search.
- Build LLM evaluation pipelines, Autoraters, and golden datasets, and run live A/B experiments to optimize answer quality, factuality, latency, and shopping metrics.
- Collaborate with YouTube Search, Ask YouTube, Shopping Infrastructure, product management, UX, and technical leads on designs and delivery.
- Design and launch AI shopping experiences including product comparisons, shoppable video treatments, and Search-to-Watch handoffs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least two years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or one year of experience with an advanced degree.
- At least two years of full-stack development experience across backend codebases and frontend technologies.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
- Preferred: experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
