Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy features for conversational agents using Gemini models and Google’s Agent Development Kit.
- Implement backend tools and RPC integrations with server platform, Spanner, and F1 to retrieve, aggregate, and reason over merchant data.
- Develop automated evaluations, guardrails, and prompt-engineering strategies to reduce hallucinations and improve response accuracy.
- Connect conversational intelligence with GIF reporting and guidance frameworks across Merchant Center and Business Home.
- Write clean, efficient, and tested Java, Kotlin, or C++ code that supports reliable, low-latency agent workflows for millions of merchants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- At least 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
