Responsibilities
- Evaluate next-generation verification and validation tools for certification objectives across DO-178C Design Assurance Levels.
- Assess tool qualification requirements under Software Tool Qualification Considerations and DO-330.
- Develop scalable test frameworks for certified and non-certified embedded OS testing workflows.
- Implement automation for continuous integration and continuous regression testing.
- Develop system-level tests for RTOS functionality, performance, and timing behavior.
- Create and execute V&V test cases traceable to system and software requirements.
- Collaborate with systems and software engineers to ensure complete requirements coverage.
- Improve the RTOS product and testing processes while collaborating with global software engineering teams.
- Work within Agile Scrum teams and follow Agile processes.
Requirements
- BTech, MTech, or equivalent technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, verification, or validation.
- Understanding of RTOS concepts including scheduling, concurrency, determinism, and resource management.
- Proficiency in test automation and framework development using Python, C, or C++.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with DO-178C or DO-178B software lifecycle and verification objectives is preferred.
- Familiarity with DO-330 tool qualification processes is preferred.
- Experience with requirements-based testing and traceability is preferred.
- Experience with static analysis, model-based testing, or formal methods is preferred.
- Knowledge of structural coverage techniques including MC/DC, branch, and statement coverage is preferred.
- Experience with commercial or open-source RTOS platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with VectorCAST, LDRA, Parasoft, Rapita, or equivalent verification tools is preferred.
- Experience with firmware bring-up and boot-up is preferred.
