Responsibilities
- Partner with customer engineering teams to integrate Kota’s SDKs and APIs into their platforms.
- Translate customer needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Build internal tools and reusable code and identify improvements to APIs and SDKs.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure successful deployments.
- Represent the technical voice of the customer in feature and roadmap decisions.
- Debug complex issues across multiple systems, APIs, and data flows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar engineering or technical professional with customer-facing work.
- Ability to write and review production code in TypeScript, Python, or C#; experience with multiple languages is a plus.
- Comfort working across APIs, SDKs, and data integrations.
- Experience scoping and shipping complex systems in fast-moving environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to identify risks early, work effectively in ambiguity, and move quickly while maintaining quality.
- Experience in fintech, insurtech, HR technology, global payroll, benefits, insurance systems, forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, professional services engineering, startup work, developer experience tooling, or internal enablement is advantageous.
