Responsibilities
- Design and build customer solutions on the Android platform.
- Serve as a technical expert, represent the team, and work independently across the team’s scope.
- Set technical standards and provide procedural advice and decision-making.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including operational support and incident resolution.
- Lead customer-centric architectural design decisions.
- Conduct code reviews and develop teammates through mentorship, pairing, and training.
- Lead initiatives and contribute to scalability, performance, and new value delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years building native Android applications with Kotlin and Java.
- Broad and deep understanding of Android architectural components such as Room, LiveData, Jetpack, and Compose, along with MVVM architecture.
- Experience with Coroutines and Flows is preferred.
- Experience building applications with offline capabilities is preferred.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and understanding of multithreading, concurrent programming, and performance optimization.
- Ability to develop and ship complex, high-quality, performant, and reliable software products.
- Strong software engineering practices, communication skills, collaboration ability, and experience leading initiatives.
