Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, monitor, and support large-scale, multi-region voice infrastructure across public clouds.
- Operate 24/7 voice systems with 4+ nines availability and troubleshoot call setup, quality, QoS, jitter, call drops, SIP errors, and latency issues.
- Configure SBCs, SIP trunking, codec negotiation, alerting, monitoring, capacity planning, and maintenance activities without disrupting customer traffic.
- Perform deep packet inspection, SIP ladder analysis, and STIR/SHAKEN debugging.
- Work with customers, partner systems, VoIP/PSTN carriers, SBC providers, and other vendors to design voice and network infrastructure solutions.
- Apply AI/ML tools for anomaly detection, predictive alerting, quality monitoring, capacity planning, routing, and conversational AI integrations.
- Maintain security, compliance, and regulatory adherence for voice networks, including E911 and CALEA.
- Create automation scripts and support infrastructure using Python, Linux, configuration automation, containers, orchestration, and infrastructure tools.
Requirements
- Related technical degree required.
- 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale voice infrastructure deployments in public clouds.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale voice operations, real-time communications, PSTN, SIP, VoIP, SBCs, SIP trunking, codec negotiation, and 24/7 systems.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, troubleshooting, packet inspection, SIP analysis, STIR/SHAKEN, and voice infrastructure maintenance.
- Understanding of VoIP network security, regional voice/telecom regulations, E911, CALEA, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience applying AI/ML tools to voice operations and integrating conversational AI or AI-powered voice features.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/UDP, and Red Hat Linux.
- Preferred experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Helm, and Spinnaker.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, adaptability, and stakeholder coordination skills.
