Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance cloud and container technologies primarily using Python.
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions and code.
- Create unit tests and improve the software development lifecycle.
- Investigate and resolve issues found during testing and customer integration.
- Participate in all aspects of an agile software development process.
- Contribute to containerization, virtualization, fault-tolerant, and carrier-grade development.
- Develop and troubleshoot a highly available orchestration platform for private cloud, 5G, and distributed edge deployments.
Requirements
- Solid backend development experience, preferably with Python.
- Working knowledge of Linux concepts, command-line operations, file management, archives and compressed backups, permissions, security, and simple scripting.
- Interest in developing and troubleshooting highly distributed, multi-vendor orchestration platforms.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking and transport-layer concepts including TCP and UDP.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
- Experience collaborating across remote teams and time zones and with senior technical leaders.
- Experience with Git, Jira, GitLab, and code review tools.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Linux Containers.
- Experience administering Kubernetes clusters, including designing infrastructure, configuration, control, and monitoring.
- Experience with Docker and Helm.
- Preferred: experience developing applications for Kubernetes clusters.
- Preferred: experience developing with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ.
