Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, technical art, art, QA, DevOps, and development services teams to integrate automated testing solutions, shared tooling, and testing environments.
- Design, develop, maintain, and extend automated test frameworks and testing infrastructure for Unreal Engine systems and reusable gameplay modules.
- Migrate, integrate, and validate shared automation solutions across projects and development environments.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve issues involving automation, integrations, testing environments, CI/CD pipelines, and build infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards across QA automation codebases.
- Improve the testability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability of shared systems.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level QA Engineers.
- Monitor and maintain CI/CD pipelines and resolve build and test failures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in QA Engineering, test automation, or software testing.
- Strong C++ experience, especially in Unreal Engine environments.
- Strong experience with automated testing, tooling, and testing infrastructure in Unreal Engine environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and testing solutions.
- Ability to analyze, debug, and troubleshoot complex technical issues across systems, integrations, and development environments.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and automation pipelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple disciplines and teams.
- Preferred experience shipping an Unreal Engine-based game for Xbox or PlayStation consoles.
- Preferred experience with containerization and cloud technologies such as Docker, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred programming and scripting experience with Python, TypeScript, or C#.
- Preferred experience with Unreal Engine performance profiling, debugging, or validation tooling.
- Preferred experience with asset processing and validation pipelines, digital content authoring tools, proprietary game engine tools, or shared cross-project technical initiatives.
