Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the agent harness behind customer-facing and internal agentic products through production scale.
- Convert payments expertise into agent skills, knowledge bases, and runbooks.
- Build agentic connectors with MCP, including authentication and permissioning integrations.
- Manage data retention and security using AWS Bedrock AgentCore products.
- Enforce policy at the harness level so agent actions comply with defined rules before execution.
- Anticipate production-scale problems and build internal agents, beginning with the Risk team.
- Scope and lead squad projects while partnering with an incoming product manager.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building agentic products that run in production.
- Experience building agent harnesses on commercial LLMs, ideally Anthropic Claude and OpenAI models.
- Strong knowledge of persistent memory, tool and skill design, and multi-step task execution.
- Experience building MCP servers or similar tool integrations, including authentication and permissioning for agents acting on a user's behalf.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with the last 2 years focused on agentic or LLM-based systems.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor who scopes and leads projects without direct reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with AWS, Bedrock AgentCore, or open-weight models is a plus.
- Payments or fintech experience is a plus.
