Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate production-grade AI/ML systems for Asteri’s orchestration platform.
- Integrate AI capabilities with backend, platform, and frontend systems to create scalable product workflows.
- Deploy and iterate on LLM-based applications while evaluating quality, latency, and cost.
- Own retrieval and agentic systems, including RAG pipelines, workflow agents, and policy-driven logic.
- Define and run offline and production evaluations, testing, monitoring, experimentation, tuning, and system-level optimization.
- Apply software engineering practices including testing, versioning, CI/CD, and rollback strategies.
- Translate product requirements and advances in applied AI into reliable enterprise solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production software.
- At least 5 years of professional experience spanning software engineering and applied AI/ML development.
- Experience deploying and operating ML- or LLM-based systems in production and in cloud environments.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, and system-level tradeoffs.
- Strong systems design, testing, performance optimization, communication, and independent collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, RAG systems, MLflow, Weights & Biases, DVC, distributed or data-intensive systems, and enterprise or regulated environments.
